Changing schools or school districts

projects-high-schoolParents who have joint legal custody must agree to changing schools or school districts of the children; otherwise, the Court will decide the issue.  In determining whether to approve the change, the Court will consider the reasons for making the changes.  Examples of good reasons include:

  • The new school offers educational advantages.
  • The school may have a program for your child’s special needs.
  • Your child is facing unresolved bullying at his or her present school.
